Broadcasting via Internet – AGM and workshop

Throughout 2013, the MTAQ is reaching our regional members by making most of our workshops available via internet broadcasts.

Here are some comments from members who, for the first time, were able to view the AGM on the 23rd February and the workshop on the same day.

From the President

In 2011, the Music Teachers’ Association of Queensland celebrated its 90th year. The association was formed to advance and protect the interests of music teachers and to represent the music teaching profession in Queensland. The Association also aims to:

  • advance musical culture in Queensland,
  • encourage the highest standards of teaching music,
  • establish of code of ethics,
  • review and recommend tuition fees,
  • provide and maintain a library,
  • provide social opportunities amongst members and
  • maintain friendly relationships with other professional organisations.
