Teachers wishing to upgrade their membership from Associate to Professional may be interested to know of the following pedagogy courses: 


University of Southern Queensland, School of Creative Arts, Toowoomba

The University of Southern Queensland offers up to 20 undergraduate courses specifically in Music (out of 24 courses in the Bachelor of Creative Arts) which provides practical and mentoring in pedagogy relating to a particular instrument or voice. The Music Discipline aims to create functional musicians who are all-rounders and can perform in ensembles, arrange music, and innovative creative strategies of Music in classrooms/studios. The Music Teaching courses are designed to provide students with a knowledge and understanding of teaching principles, together with practical experience in teaching pupils. 

 

The courses are available in on-campus and external mode.

Mature aged musicians, novices, or music teachers may wish to revive their own music practice through enrolling in a Diploma of Arts that can be structured around key Music courses (including the Music teaching courses).

 

Music Teachers who have a degree in music can enrol in the Master of Arts in Music that champions practice above all, to extend their skills in their discipline area.
