Drums and
Percussion Tuition
My interest
and passion in drums and percussion instruments began at the age of four
and has been a fascinating and continuing journey of knowledge. I am a
percussionist inspired by a world of Idio-membraphonic instruments,
using techniques involving stick and mallet control and incorporating
hand and finger movements to create rhythms.
Practical
and theory studies are available from introduction to advanced levels.
Lessons are taught from a traditional stand point through to
twenty-first century improvisations. Emphasis is placed on the real and
cultural expressions of traditional music in order to reflect their
country of origin.
Musical
interests include African, Asia Minor, Middle Eastern, Latin American, Afro-American
and the Balkans.
